Abstract
This study involves the synthesis of Pentacyclic Thiazolidinedione Derivatives (B1-B7) through the reaction of 1 mole of Schiff bases with 1 mole of thioglycolic acid, dissolved in absolute ethanol. The validity of the compound structures was confirmed using physical and spectroscopic methods such as infrared spectroscopy, proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and Mass spectrum. Additionally, melting points and purity were determined, and reaction progress was monitored by Thin-Layer Chromatography (TLC).
