Abstract

The methods of teaching English language is the most important and necessary thing for our modern life. This article aims to help young school teachers understand the characteristics of the different methods used in teaching a foreign language and to achieve good results. This review paper defines the most common and influencial teaching methods: Grammar Translation method, Direct method, Audio-lingual method andCommunicative language teaching.
