Abstract
The Georgian-Ossetian and Georgian-Abkhazian conflicts, the 2008 Russian-Georgian war and subsequent developments have added special value to the understanding of civil rights, among which important are: Inviolability of life, human dignity and honor, freedom and privacy, freedom of movement and choice of residence, right to a free and fair trial, presumption of innocence, etc.
