Abstract

In addition to examining people's understanding of e-waste management, its generation, and primary treatment methods in educational institutions, this research seeks to demonstrate the significance of e-waste management techniques for environmental sustainability. An organized questionnaire is given to engineering students in India as part of the empirical investigation. Six crucial facets of e-waste are examined: generation, administration, components of e-waste, progressive usage of e-waste management, control, and training. The results of this survey show that although there is a lack of understanding regarding the production of e-waste and the methods used to process it, the idea of extended producer responsibility is gaining traction. Only a small percentage of people are aware of e-waste management, despite significant efforts by the relevant authorities.
